WIP Wednesday {4.25.12}

Wednesday again?!?! Woah, how does that happen?? Also, we seem to have lost spring. It took a wrong turn and got lost or something so winter came back. I don't much like it. This weather is just crazy. Which has nothing to do with sewing except that I suppose I can get a bit more done since we won't be going outside much.

Completed:

Echo Kaleidoscope Quilt

I love it! I just love it. I snuggle under it just about every night. Definitely one of my favorites.

Boxy Bags

These were pretty easy to make and oh so cute! Those elephants just kill me!

Skill Builder blocks 29 & 30

Apple Cores (not so awesome) and equilateral triangles (totally awesome). I am caught up again. I can't wait to see what's next.

Still Going:

Granny Squares

I got it quilted and am almost done sewing down the binding. Another movie should do it.

Cosmic Burst

Done the 2nd & 3rd quadrants. So this is the top half of the quilt. I love how it is turning out so far. This week we should finish up the top, and then I guess I have to start thinking about backing....

Travel Purse
The cutting has begun! I am going kinda slow on this because I am not exactly sure what I am doing; I am making up the measurements as I go....and I am having a hard time committing. I think today I will sit down and just make myself do it. It will be really really cool if I can make it work.

Scrappy Triangles
Alright, seriously, I am going to start sewing this. This week. Promise. I just need to do it. I must conquer the piles of triangles! I can do this!

Toddler Dress #2
I don't know if I am ever going to make this one. I just really can't make myself care. I might just end up trashing it. We'll see.

Waiting:

*dresden toddler quilt
*toddler swoon quilt

Not too shabby.  I can't wait until the granny squares quilt is entirely finished. Soon, very soon. And I am {finally} going to start those stinking triangles. We'll see how far I get, and how many more I end up needing. Things are feeling a little more relaxed this week and that is an excellent thing. I think my list seems pretty manageable finally, so it should be a good productive week. Now to go plan that purse.....

  2. ooo- I like how your skill builder blocks turned out and I TOTALLY agree about the apple core block - it was not a fun one, but those triangles are fun little guys.

  4. Great kaleidoscope (and good timing, since winter returned to you), but there's just something about equilateral triangles. They have always fascinated me!
