Skill Bulider Sampler: Month 4

I can't believe it has been 4 months and we are 1/3 of the way through this QAL! This month we worked on quarter square triangles and improv piecing. Which was cool since I've never really done much of either.

Block #10 - Ohio Star
I don't think I love quarter square triangles, but this block is alright. Not a favorite but I am happy with how it came out.

Block #11 - Beacon Light
It was kinda fun to make our own fabric for this one. I thought I was going to hate it, but surprisingly I don't!

Block #12 - Improv House and Tree
This was so interesting. I've never done anything pictorial like this, but it was fun. I did end up having it a bit too small so I had to add some on the side and bottom and it's a bit weird, but I like it! It was fun!

I also got my sashing in the mail and I love it! I can't wait to see it around all the blocks but I did lay them out on top of it just to get an idea :) And I think it's going to be awesome. Polka dots usually are. The sashing is dumb dot in au lait by Michael Miller.

And that is month 4! Tomorrow will bring a new block to make and I'm pretty excited to see what it will be. And check back here tomorrow for some Farmer's Wife goodness!
