What a weekend! We were gong non-stop around here from Friday night to Sunday night. And while that extra hour sounded nice, with a toddler, it just meant a much longer day. Ah well. So now I am working to get back in the swing of things. I have a lot of things to do, so I think one of my projects for today is to list and prioritize everything and that should help keep me on track.
Anyway, I thought I would share the bag I made last week. As I mentioned, I was going to training and I decided I needed a new bag (yes, needed haha). I wanted one that was more narrow and tall that would fit a notebook and such and had some pockets for my planner, pens, etc. I was looking through my boards on pinterest and I found this one that I had been saving. It was exactly what I was looking for.
Of course I decided that I needed this Saturday night while I was {not}
falling asleep, and needed it Monday morning. So I pulled some fabric
that I had enough of and got to work during nap time. I opted to not put
the closures on that they do and I didn't use rivets for the strap and
it seems to work fine. It is tall enough that nothing is likely to fall
out. I love the fabric, it is a home decor from Joann's which gives it
just enough weight to have a bit of structure. But it is a nice slouchy
bag. If I am not wearing a heavy coat I can put it across my body which
is a nice option to have. The only complaint I have is that I didn't
realize before I put it together that the way the outer pockets are put
on, things can just slide from one side to the other so I need to be
careful what I put in them. Other than that, it is perfect!
Now off to work on my list. Maybe I'll have it all in order for my WIP post tomorrow :)
I like that! It looks very useful!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute and I love how you "needed" the new bookbag. :)
